At Mini Folk we aim to create beautiful designs whilst remaining an ethical and sustainable business. We know we are not perfect but we are always looking for ways to minimise our impact on the earth.
Who made your clothes?
We work closely with three international factories to manufacture our products. All our workers are entitled to medical insurances for both themselves and their families and are paid about the minimum wage and receive bonuses.
Our sustainability journey:
We use heropacks to deliver our Mini Folk range. The packs are made from home compostable materials, mainly corn-starch and cassava roots. To compost them at home, it’s best to remove any labels, cut them up and place in your compost bin as “brown materials”. These will completely break down within 90-120 days in a home compostable environment- sometimes even sooner!
We produce our stock in low quantities. This aims to reduce the amount of excess and unused items for landfill. We are for quality over quantity. Making our pieces special and hoping that our customers buy less, wear more and pass it on.
We use natural fabrics where possible. Our current range uses cotton, organic cotton and rayon.
